If there’s one routine that we have in our household it’s Sunday football! We don’t mess around when it comes to game day and our house is always full of good company and of course, good food. That’s why when Casa di Mama by Dr. Oetker invited us to attend this years CFL Grey Cup we said, “OMG when do we leave?!”. For those of you that don’t know Casa di Mama is the official pizza of the CFL and it’s for good reason too- it’s delicious. Josh and I can’t wait to watch the big game with Casa di Mama in a couple of weeks, but in the meantime I’ll be brushing up on my home-gating skills!
For those of you that don’t know Josh is the chef in our house and cooks about 5 times a week. I know, I hit the jackpot! But when it comes to game day he totally has the day off to relax and enjoy which means I’m in charge of the kitchen.
So what does one with little to no cooking skills make when home-gating you ask? Dr. Oetker’s Casa di Mama pizza of course! With a thin crust that rises around the edge, these pizza’s are so yummy and remind me of an authentic Italian pizzeria! I like to keep it classic and always go for pepperoni but Josh recently tried the Inferno pizza which packs a bit of a kick.
I don’t know if you watched the game on Sunday but our home team, the Eskimos, were playing and they won- Wooho! To show some team spirit I picked up some fun mason jars and coasters which I firmly believe help the Esk’s pull out a W that night ;)
When it comes to incorporating sports memorabilia into your home-gating set up you don’t need to go overboard. Adding subtle touches like a few coasters is enough to do the trick!
Going to the game is fun but I absolutely love home-gating with our friends and family. We can enjoy the game in the comfort of our own home and thanks to Casa di Mama, feeding everyone is stress free. For your next home-gating gathering be sure to pick up Dr. Oetker’s frozen pizzas- sold at all major grocers across Canada, including Sobey’s, Metro, Overwaitea, and more.
Josh and I can’t wait to watch the Grey Cup on November 26th and we hope you can tune in with us! Whether you’re watching the game from TD Place Stadium or home-gating with friends and family, it’s going to be an amazing time. To join in on the fun with Casa di Mama be sure to follow the #CasaDiMamaPizza.
